2.5" Diameter T-Cap - Foam Roller Retainer Cap Plug - TEXTURED Matte Black Surface

While our T-caps fit the vast majority of 1" outside diameter tubes that mount foam rollers, some have a slightly too large or too small of an inside diameter for a proper fit. Here are two workarounds:



If these T-caps are slightly too large and won't fit into the tube, then you can use a sharp knife or razor blade to "shave" a small amount of material off each of the 8 "fins" to make it fit.

If these T-caps are slightly too small and fit into the tube too loosely, then you can tightly wrap a layer or two of electrical tape around the "fins" to build it up so it fits tight and requires some force to install it.

  • Use in place of expensive shaft collars to retain foam rollers on shaft
  • Reduces the foot print by requiring less bar length vs. a shaft collar installation
  • Made of super strong ABS plastic with a textured appearance
  • T-Cap O.D. is 2.5" for greater surface holding area. Shaft collars allow foam rollers to "mushroom" over the collar due to smaller O.D. of the collar
  • Use a hammer to drive them into any inside diameter range of between .800" - .860" for a positive grip
  • 1" OD pipe/tube with an .095" wall thickness is typically used for foam rollers which has a perfect I.D. for T-Caps
  • T-Cap plugs extend a full 1" into the tube ID so they can't be knocked out easily
