24" Heavy Extension Chain for Fitness Machine Cable Attachments - Choose Custom Length from 1-3/4" to 24" long Many machine manufacturers will design in maximum pre-stretch to cover the longest of arms. For the average user, this usually translates to an unnecessarily high level of pre-stretch for the starting position. By adding an extension chain between the cable attachment and exercise machine, the pre-stretch can be tuned to correctly accommodate the individual user and also prevent running out of head room in the weight stack frame. Every inch of pre-stretch equates to one inch of lost head room thus, increasing the likelihood of the top of the weight stack hitting the top of the frame during a full range-of-motion exercise.

Heavier chain will accommodate larger diameter hooks eg. 10 mm snap links, and has a wire size of .265" in diameter - unlike our smaller chain which accommodates a maximum of 8 mm snap links.

Larger chain links are easier to grab onto by hand to help a user complete an exercise movement or even use the chain itself as a cable attachment to develop grip strength!

Choose from the drop down menu any custom size from 1-3/4" to 24" in approximately 1-1/4" increments (Same Price) Or, buy the full 24" so you have more adjustability by simply connecting the snap link at desired location

Chain will accommodate a hook or snap link up to 10 mm (.393") wire diameter

If needed, choose 1 or 2 optional 10 mm zinc-plated snap links to complete the circuit (as shown in photo inset) Or, other sizes of snap links may be purchased separately.

Hook or snap link may be attached to any link in the chain for fine adjustment

Chain is made of alloy steel and zinc plated to prevent rust

This heavier chain is rated at 1200 lb test strength
