Product Description

47" SupraBar Olympic Curl Bar - Free Floating Supination Curling Mechanism allows complete full range of motion while curling!

This is hard to describe, but if you try this experiment, you will be enlightened to the concept behind this innovative curl bar:

Lock your forearm/upper arm at a 90 degree angle. Then, rotate your wrist clockwise and counterclockwise as if you were turning a screw driver. While doing this, you will notice your biceps peaking and lengthening. This motion is known as "supination". Every time you use a screw driver (or something similar), your biceps provide a good portion of the power behind the task.

Our SupraBar curl bar takes advantage of this biomechanical concept by allowing the user to supinate, while at the SAME TIME curling the bar - meaning the biceps effectively get a DOUBLE stimulus in the same exercise movement. Training with a SupraBar will allow your biceps to make incredible gains in mass and definition like never before!

The SuprBar - like conventional curl bars can also be used for lying tricep extensions. Unlike conventional bars, the free-form handles on the SupraBar will allow the user to freely grip the bar in a completely natural, stress free configuration throughout the exercise motion.

Features

  • Beautifully crafted from solid steel

  • Bar overall length is 47" - pretty much standard for dedicated olympic curl bars

  • Free-form wrist motion (supination) relieves common stresses caused by conventional bars and allows the user to get creative

  • Multi-tasking curling with supination specifically targets the short side (outer region) of the biceps - which forms the "peak"

  • The SupraBar is "twice the curl bar" because fixed, conventional curl bars only do half the job.

  • While the biceps are not involved in lying triceps extension, the SupraBar will allow stress-relieving wrist action while exercising (see video below for demo)

  • Free-form ring handles are knurled for a positive grip, and plated in black oxide

  • Spacing of the free-form ring handles is approximately 23" center-to-center

  • Olympic plates and collars are sold separately

  • Curl Bar weighs approximately 23 lbs
